World Cup 2010: France will play against Mexico on 17/06 20:30 in Polokwane, here is how their story started. Costa Rica, for the first time since 1998 in France, will not be representing the North, Central and Caribbean Zone CONCACAF at a FIFA World Cup%u2122. Los Ticos, even though leading the final round for months of qualifying in the region but suffered a late collapse and were defeated in a final rounds of the two legged play off by Uruguay.

Spain getting ten wins and the Netherlands with eight wins in a group with five teams got maximum points, playing great and efficient football. Vicente Del Bosque came in to replace Luis Aragones as Spain coach and Bert van Marwijk, in place of Marco van Basten at the Dutch helm, did not affect the team's winning form.
Slightly under the pecking order, but still without a loss, came Germany with eight wins and two draws and Italy with seven wins and three draws, two teams who tend to uplift their stature as the tournament progresses. Meanwhile, Fabio Capello's, England team has nine wins and one defeat has started to strengthen since being unsuccessful to qualify for UEFA EURO 2008.

France and Mexico will finally meet in Group A of the FIFA World Cup 2010 South Africa. It will played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Both teams had a draw in their opening matches. France had a 0-0 draw against Uruguay and Mexico had 1-1 versus Southr Africa.
If either team wins in this game, all hopes in reaching the Round of 16 for the other countries under Group A would be shattered.
It’s interesting to note that Mexico has never won against France at senior level. But an upset would prove devastating for the Les Bleus, just like what Switzerland did to Spain.
Carlos Vela and Abou Diaby are the players to watch out for in this game as both players will be aiming to give their country their first win of this tournament.
